Zeno Kosidowski was born on June 22, 1898, to Valentina (née Fiedler) and Antoni Kosidowski. After serving in the German Imperial Army, he joined the Greater Poland Uprising. Kosidowski studied German and Polish literature at the University of Poznań and the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.

Literary Beginnings

In the early 1920s, Kosidowski became involved in the Polish expressionism movement, co-editing the journal "Zdrójrupl" where he made his writing debut. He taught school in Łódź before becoming an editor and director at Polskie Radio in Poznań from 1928 to 1939.

American Years

During World War II, Kosidowski lived in the United States. He edited the Polish weekly "Tygodnik Polski" and the Polish embassy newspaper "Poland of Today." He also taught Polish cultural history at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Later Career and Impact

After returning to Poland in 1951, Kosidowski enjoyed recognition for his work. His research on ancient civilizations and cultures gained international fame, translated into multiple languages.
