Early Life and Career

Goal-Scorer from Georgia

Jano Ananidze, a talented Georgian footballer, was born on October 18, 1992, in Kобулети, Georgia. His father, Amiran Ananidze, was a footballer and later a coach, while his mother, Svetlana Sakunova, was a homemaker. From a young age, Ananidze exhibited a passion for football, following in his father's footsteps.

Transition to Dynamo and Spartak

From Tbilisi to Moscow

At the age of 12, Ananidze joined the youth academy of Tbilisi Dynamo, where he honed his skills and developed into a promising midfielder. In 2005, he attracted the attention of Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv, who offered him a contract. However, his experience in Kyiv was cut short when he made the decision to stay with the Georgian U-19 team against the club's wishes, leading to his dismissal from Dynamo.

The Spartak Connection

A New Home in Russia

Undeterred, Ananidze returned to Georgia and continued to train with the national team. In 2007, scouts from Russian club Spartak Moscow, including Andrei Polischuk, witnessed Ananidze's talent in a match against the Russian U-19 team. Impressed by his performance, Spartak invited him for a trial, where he displayed his potential with two goals against their youth team.

Rise to Prominence

Debut and Record-Breaking Goal

In 2009, Ananidze joined Spartak on a permanent contract, choosing the club over others due to the personal approach taken by Spartak's technical director, Evgeny Smolentsev. After working his way through the youth ranks, he made his debut for Spartak's main team on July 15, 2009, scoring a goal against Krasnodar in a cup match. On August 1, 2009, he debuted in the Russian Premier League, becoming the youngest player to score a goal in the league's history at 17 years and 8 days.

International Recognition

From Spartak to the Georgia National Team

Ananidze's performances for Spartak drew the attention of top European clubs, including Arsenal, Juventus, AC Milan, and Sevilla. However, Spartak's sports director announced that they would not consider any offers for Ananidze for the next 3-4 years. Despite Spartak's attempts to retain him for the Russian national team, Ananidze opted to represent his home country, making his debut for Georgia on September 5, 2009, becoming the youngest player ever to play for the team.
