Zinaida Baranova: The Sun Eater

Biography

At the age of 67, Zinaida Grigoryevna appears to be a vibrant and energetic individual. "Do I look like someone who is dying?" she asks. It's hard to believe that this woman... has been living without food and water for over three years. At least that's what she claims, along with some of her acquaintances. Is it really possible? Zinaida was an engineer-technologist in the fat and oil industry. She worked at a plant in Sverdlovsk for five years before moving to Krasnodar. She was raised as a hardcore materialist: Baranova was a member of the Communist Party and even held the position of secretary of the primary party organization at a major research institute. However, she would have been an ordinary Russian pensioner if a series of misfortunes hadn't occurred in her life. First, her parents passed away, and soon after, her 18-year-old son died in a car accident. This led to a severe depression. Cardiovascular disorders developed on a nervous basis, and her joints started to ache. Zinaida sought medical help, and eventually, she was assigned the second disability group. Life lost its color. It took her ten years to come to a decision: she needed to change her life radically. "I tried several unconventional healing methods," says Zinaida. "I followed Porfiry Ivanov's hardening system: dousing myself with cold water and walking barefoot all year round. I gave up meat and fish. Then I bought a small house in the foothills of the Caucasus and lived there alone for a long time. I only ate plant-based food: I grew some myself and collected the rest." Seven more years passed. March 2000 arrived. It was then, according to Zinaida, that she had a spiritual vision: to exist without food. She entered the process of fasting easily and even joyfully: it was the beginning of the Easter fast, and she had previously lived on a water-broth diet for long periods of time. However, after two weeks, the "inner voice" recommended abstaining from liquids as well.

Difficulties and Transformation

"From that moment, difficulties began. Apparently, my body was going through deep purification," Zinaida recalls. "It was accompanied by weakness, cramps, dryness in the mouth, and vibrations throughout my body. My skin started peeling and soon became covered in 'mosquito bites' - as I understand, my body was learning to extract moisture from the air through the skin. Walking became difficult, and climbing stairs was practically impossible. I was scared at times. It took me a month and a half for my condition to normalize. Since then, I have been living without food and water. Well, without physical food. In reality, my body is nourished, but from other sources. It absorbs unincarnated solar energy and transforms it into what it needs. I don't feel this flow, but I know it is constantly coming in. It happens as naturally as breathing." However, the difficulties did not end there. She spent another nine months working on her negative thoughts. Occasionally, they would overwhelm her like a cold water bath: her ego demanded attention. "I never thought I was such a 'garbage collector'," she says. For every negative thought (judgment, anger, indignation), the woman would read the "Jesus Prayer" three times. And one beautiful morning, upon awakening, she felt an unknown grace. A white, flowing light poured into her eyes. Zinaida realized that she had been "born again." It is curious that not all of Zinaida's acquaintances and neighbors know about her lifestyle. She prefers not to advertise it. When she visits someone's home, and they offer her a seat at the table, she calmly replies: "Thank you, I am full." She politely declines tea as well. Her roommate Toma, who rents a room from Zinaida, admits that she has never seen her host eat or drink in three years.

The Medical Examination

Two years ago, at the insistence of her friends, Zinaida decided to undergo a medical examination to understand what was happening in her body. She traveled to Moscow. Her acquaintances recommended a doctor from the medical faculty of the University of Peoples' Friendship - Professor Chizhov. Here are excerpts from his conclusion:
"The functions of water and gas excretion (lungs), heart protection (pericardium), digestion, and harmonious distribution of nutrients (spleen and pancreas), and body cleansing (liver) were disrupted."
In simpler terms, Zinaida had pathologies in several organs and systems from the perspective of traditional medicine. However, she felt physically healthy and active, in a great mood. How is this possible? To find the answer, she underwent two more examinations in Kyiv and Sofia, this time using non-traditional medical methods. The results were staggering. All organs, except those involved in digestion, had high "vibrational" activity. Zinaida's biological age was determined to be 30 years, and at the age of 67, her menopause stopped, and a normal menstrual cycle was established. "So I hope to give birth again," she smiles. "The ability to carry a child is preserved; I just have to conceive it in a 'virgin' way."

Controversy and Further Research

Sometimes, once a month or a month and a half, she feels bad. She wants to retreat to a quiet, secluded corner where no one can see or hear her. During these two to three days, Zinaida feels like a "bare wound": she finds it difficult to tolerate contact with people, any words and gestures irritate her, even silence. At the same time, she fills with compassion for those around her, pain, and tears. According to her, it is during these days that the "Higher Teachers" do the work they deem necessary. "I don't know what awaits me ahead - I am very curious myself," she says. "Obviously, I have ceased to be an ordinary person. But the transformation is not yet complete." Nikolai Zolotov, deputy director of the Institute of General Pathology and Pathophysiology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, states: "There is a method of therapeutic fasting where all processes in the body are normalized. Fasting lasts several weeks, during which a person drinks non-carbonated water. The digestion process slows down, and the person seems to preserve their body. There have been cases where malignant tumors dissolved during this process. However, this method - I emphasize - is not recommended for everyone. As for your protagonist, she definitely needs to be studied. First, it is necessary to determine how pure her experiment was. To put it bluntly, did she eat at night - let's not hide, such cases have also been described. First and foremost, she needs to be examined at the Institute of Nutrition to find out what changes have occurred at the hormonal level and where glucose comes from. If everything is as she claims, then the patient is more than promising. Who knows, maybe this is indeed a step into the future, although there has been no case in history of a person not eating or drinking for three years. References to the lives of saints are irrelevant. In any case, nothing can be denied. This phenomenon is possible but unlikely. Our institute could comprehensively examine this woman if she agrees."
