The Birth of a Band

In the early days, five musicians—Dmitry Sosov (bass guitar), Alexander Noskov (rhythm guitar), Dmitry Dvoretsky (keyboards), Yuri Akimov (drums), and Ildar Eksan (guitar)—joined forces to form a band. After much deliberation, they settled on the name "Nash Vykhod" (Our Exit).

Early Success and Setbacks

With dedication and hard work, "Nash Vykhod" performed in renowned clubs such as "Tabula Rasa" and "Cry Baby." Notable compositions from this period include "Flowers," "Go to the North," "Where Are You?," and "Hey You!" However, financial constraints and lack of concerts led to the departure of Dvoretsky in 1996 and Eksan in 1997, threatening the band's existence.

A New Chapter as "Balsam"

Ilya Toshinsky, a skilled guitarist, joined the group, infusing them with a fresh perspective. They adopted the name "Balsam" and recorded three songs at Евгений Дроздов's "Black Bird" studio: "Maybe," "Fish," and "Lanterns." "Lanterns" gained recognition when it was featured on the "PROMIX N 13" audio compilation and aired on Moscow radio stations.

Triumphs and Competitions

From 1998 to 1999, "Balsam" excelled in various competitions, including "Golden Puddle" and "New Names." They won the Grand Prix at "Seven Notes to the Pedestal" with performances of "Come Home from War" and "It's Me."

Evolution into "Zveroboy"

In mid-1999, the band rebranded as "Zveroboy." They collaborated with singer Yulia Lada, contributing several original songs to her repertoire, most notably "Bird" which won the Grand Prix at the "Voices 99" competition in Sochi.

Recording an Acoustic Album

The band returned to "Black Bird" studio in late 1999 to record an acoustic album featuring 11 tracks. However, Toshinsky's departure to America prompted a search for a new guitarist.

The Arrival of Alexei Yovchev

Through online advertisements, "Zveroboy" discovered guitarist Alexei Yovchev. Yovchev, born in 1978 in Mariupol, Ukraine, brought a diverse musical background to the band. His experience with bands like StrawBerry Jam had honed his craft, and he quickly integrated into "Zveroboy" with daily rehearsals and a drive for excellence.

The current lineup of "Zveroboy" consists of:
