American rock and metal drummer of Cuban descent, Dave Lombardo is renowned as the backbone of thrash metal band Slayer, with whom he recorded seven studio albums. Lombardo's illustrious career spans over 35 years, marked by his collaborations with an incredible 30 albums across diverse genres, including Slayer, Grip Inc., Fantômas, and Testament. In 2013, he contributed to Sepultura's upcoming record.

Lombardo's musical influences stem from the legendary Led Zeppelin and Kiss. Known for his influential percussive style, his innovative drumming approach earned him the title "Godfather of Double Bass Drumming" by Drummer World magazine. Contemporary metal drummers widely regard Lombardo as a primary force shaping their own artistry.
