Early Life and Career
Ademilson dos Santos Silva, popularly known as Ademá, is a former Brazilian football player who played as a midfielder and forward. He emerged from the amateur club Estrela in Porto Feliz. After brief stints with São José and São Bento, he joined Corinthians in 1996 but failed to establish himself in the first team. In 1997, he found his home at São Caetano, where he left an enduring mark.
Rise to Fame with São Caetano
Initially deployed as a left midfielder, Ademá transitioned to the forward role after a short loan spell at Ponta Grossa in 1998. The year 2000 proved to be a breakout for both Ademá and São Caetano. The team sensationally reached the final of the Copa João Havelange, losing to Vasco da Gama. Ademá emerged as the tournament's top scorer with 22 goals.
In 2001, São Caetano again reached the Brazilian Championship final, but Ademá had already moved to Stuttgart in Germany. He spent two seasons in the Bundesliga, scoring 9 goals before embarking on a nomadic career, bouncing between São Caetano and Asian teams.
Later Career and Retirement
Ademá's later years were characterized by frequent transfers, including stints in China, South Korea, and Japan. He eventually returned to São Caetano before retiring from professional football.
