Early Career
Adrián González began his professional football career at the age of 17 when he joined the Third Division club El Porvenir in 1995. He spent three seasons with the team before moving to the First Division club San Lorenzo de Almagro in 1998.
San Lorenzo Era
González played a significant role at San Lorenzo, captaining the team in the latter years of his tenure. During his time with the club, he won the Argentine Primera Division championship twice, in the 2001 Clausura and 2007 Clausura.
Brief Stint in Brazil
In 2009, González received an offer from Brazilian club São Paulo, who were struggling with their defense. However, his time in Brazil was unsuccessful, as he managed to play in only nine matches over the course of a year.
Return to Argentina
González returned to Argentina and joined Arsenal de Sarandí. He played 12 matches in the 2010 Apertura season and helped the club win its first-ever Argentine Primera Division championship in 2012.
Retirement and Coaching
González retired as a player at the end of the 2012/13 season. He currently serves as a member of the coaching staff at Club Atlético Banfield.
