Early Life and Football Beginnings
Afran Ismayilov was born on October 8, 1988, in Baku, Azerbaijan. His football journey commenced at the tender age of eight when he enrolled in the Neftchi Sports School in Baku. Guided by his first coach, Rovshan Gasimov, Ismayilov honed his skills on the field.
Club Career
Ismayilov currently represents the Azerbaijani Premier League club, Qarabağ Agdam, as a midfielder. Prior to joining Qarabağ, he also played on loan for Turan Tovuz, another Azerbaijani Premier League club. Ismayilov's remarkable performance in the 2010-11 Europa League season, where he scored five goals for Qarabağ Agdam, established him as one of the tournament's top scorers.
International Career
Ismayilov is a valued member of the Azerbaijan national youth team (U-21). From January 4 to 10, 2009, he participated in a training camp with the U-21 team in Antalya, Turkey, showcasing his skills and determination on the international stage.
