More commonly known as Formiga, the Brazilian football player, Formiga, made his mark on the field in the early 20th century. From 1912 to 1920, he played for the São Paulo club "Ypiranga."
Club Career
Formiga's career peaked with his time at "Paulista" from 1921 to 1929 (with a brief interlude). During his tenure with the club, he led "Paulista" to an impressive four championships in the state of São Paulo. In 1929, he made a notable move to "Flamengo."
International Success
Formiga's debut for the Brazilian national team came in 1919. Although he did not play in that year's South American Championship, he made a significant contribution in the 1922 tournament. Over five matches, he netted not one, but two goals.
Accolades
