Early Life and Education

Born on August 5, 1971, in the village of Aллерой, Chechnya, (then Chechen-Ingush ASSR), Razman Kadiev began his schooling in 1977. In 1989, he graduated from Sernovodsky Agricultural College as an agronomist.

Military Service and Early Political Engagements

Kadiev served in the Soviet Armed Forces from 1989 to 1991, stationed in Tartu, Estonia. After demobilization with the rank of senior sergeant, he became an active participant in the revolutionary events of 1991 in Grozny and joined Dzhokhar Dudayev's Presidential Guard.

First Chechen War and Rise to Prominence

Kadiev fought in the Presidential Guard during the First Chechen War (1994-1996). In 1995, he joined the personal security detail of Aslan Maskhadov, then Chief of General Staff of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (ChRI). When Maskhadov became President in 1997, Kadiev became head of the Presidential guard.

Accompanying President Maskhadov on Diplomatic Missions

Kadiev accompanied President Maskhadov on numerous foreign trips, including to Azerbaijan, Britain, Georgia, Malaysia, Russia, the United States, and Turkey.

Second Chechen War and Command Positions

Kadiev fought in the Second Chechen War (1999-2005). In February 2000, he became commander of the Presidential Guard, and in 2003, he was appointed commander of the Gudermes sector of the Eastern Front of the ChRI Armed Forces. In 2005, he became commander of the entire Eastern Front.

Awards and Military Rank

Kadiev was awarded the Order of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria "Honor of the Nation" and held the rank of Brigadier General in the ChRI Armed Forces.

Assassination and Legacy

On September 12, 2005, Razman Kadiev was poisoned and died. His younger brother, Zaurbek (Amir Zaurbek), became a field commander in the Caucasus Emirate.
