Emad Ahmed Abdelhamid is an Egyptian amateur boxer who achieved notable success in international competitions.
All-African Games Champion
In 2006, Abdelhamid triumphed at the All-African Games, claiming the championship title. His victory showcased his exceptional boxing skills and established him as a rising star in the sport.
Olympic Journey
Abdelhamid represented Egypt at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, in the 81 kg weight class. He displayed immense talent and determination, defeating veteran Canadian boxer Trevor Stewardson in the second round.
Continuing his impressive performance, Abdelhamid emerged victorious against Greek boxer Elias Pavlidis in the quarterfinals. However, his Olympic journey came to an end in a closely contested semifinal match against Magomed Aripgadjiev, an Azerbaijani boxer representing Belarus. Aripgadjiev went on to secure the silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games.
Despite not reaching the podium, Abdelhamid's performance at the Olympics solidified his reputation as a formidable boxer on the international stage.
