A Boy with a Parasitic Twin Inside
Alamyan Nematilaev from Kazakhstan had a parasitic twin inside him, which had hair, limbs, teeth, nails, genitals, a head, and certain parts of the face. Incredibly, the twin lived inside the boy for seven years before being discovered... The condition, known as fetus in fetu, is an extremely rare developmental anomaly that occurs once in every 500,000 births. The causes of this anomaly are unknown, but many scientists believe it occurs during early stages of pregnancy when one embryo becomes "encased" by another. Many parasitic twins are small and underdeveloped, while others grow to quite substantial sizes. Biography of Alamyan Nematilaev
Alamyan Nematilaev, a resident of Kazakhstan, was born with an extremely rare condition known as a parasitic twin. This twin, which had hair, limbs, teeth, nails, genitals, a head, and certain facial features, resided inside Alamyan for seven years before being detected. The occurrence of fetus in fetu, as this condition is termed, is a highly uncommon anomaly that happens in only one out of every 500,000 newborns.
In 2003, when Alamyan was a schoolboy, a school doctor noticed a significant swelling in his abdomen and promptly referred him to a hospital. After a thorough examination, the doctors concluded that the patient had a cyst. The following week, Alamyan underwent surgery, and to everyone's astonishment, a two-kilogram, 20-centimeter-long child was discovered inside his abdomen. The surgeon who performed the operation remarked that the boy appeared as if he were in the sixth month of pregnancy. While Alamyan's parents believed that the development of this anomaly was caused by radiation exposure from the Chernobyl disaster, experts have dismissed this notion.
Following the operation, Alamyan made a full recovery. However, to this day, he remains unaware that his twin had been growing inside him.
