Early Life and Family
Alanna Masterson was born on June 27, 1988 in Long Island, New York. Her mother, Carol Masterson, was a middle manager, and her father, Joe Reaiche, a renowned rugby player. Alanna's parents later divorced, and her mother remarried, giving her three older stepbrothers: actors Danny, Christopher, and Jordan Masterson. Growing up, Alanna spent much time with her brothers on film sets, instilling in her a desire to pursue acting herself.
Early Career
Alanna made her on-screen debut in 1994, appearing in the soap opera "The Young and the Restless." After a lengthy hiatus, during which she occasionally appeared in music videos, she returned to television in 2006 in the comedy series "Malcolm in the Middle."
Television and Film Roles
In 2008, Alanna starred alongside her brother Jordan in the comedy series "Greek." She went on to appear in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" (2009), "Grey's Anatomy" (2009), and "First Day" (2010). In 2011, she landed a role in the drama film "Peach Plum Pear."
The Walking Dead
Since 2011, Alanna has been a mainstay in "The Walking Dead," a cult classic series following a group of survivors during a zombie apocalypse. Her performance as Tara Chambler has earned her widespread recognition and critical acclaim.
Later Career
In 2014, Alanna starred in the comedy-drama "Men at Work." She later joined the American remake of the British series "Mistresses" in 2016.
Personal Life
Alanna has been in a long-term relationship with photographer Brick Stowell for over eight years. In 2015, they welcomed their daughter, Marlowe Stowell.
