Albert Ebossé Bodjongo: A Tragic Fall Victim
Early Life and CareerAlbert Ebossé Bodjongo, also known as Albert Dominique Ebossé Bodjongo Dika, was born on October 6, 1989, in Douala, Cameroon. From a young age, he exhibited exceptional footballing skills, quickly outshining his peers. He trained and played for clubs such as Coton Sport FC and Unisport Bafang, where he became a two-time national champion. His professional career began with Douala Athletic Club in Cameroon's second division.

Rise to Prominence
In 2012, Ebossé moved to Malaysian club Perak FA, making his debut in April. He impressed with 11 goals in 16 appearances. The following year, he joined JS Kabylie in Algeria. During his first season, he emerged as the league's top scorer with 17 goals.

Deadly Attack
Tragedy struck on August 23, 2014, after JS Kabylie lost 2-1 to USM Alger. As the players left the field, Ebossé was struck in the head by a large piece of slate, allegedly thrown by a disgruntled fan. He passed away a few hours later due to severe head trauma.
Aftermath
The incident sent shockwaves throughout the football community and beyond. The Algerian Football Federation suspended all domestic matches and closed the stadium where the event occurred. Other stadiums underwent renovations to prevent similar incidents. Matches resumed in September 2014, with a minute's silence observed before each game in honor of Ebossé.
