Early Life and Football Beginnings

Rashad Sadigovwas born in Buzovna, Azerbaijan, and began his football journey at the tender age of 7, joining the SDYUSHOR sports school in Baku's Azizbekov district. His first mentor was the renowned coach, Beyukaga Abbasov.

Youth and International Career

Sadigov honed his skills in the youth ranks of Azerbaijan, representing the U-17, U-19, and youth national teams. He made his professional debut with Khazri Buzovna in the 1997/98 season, competing in the U-18 league.

Club Career

Sadigov's club career spanned several notable teams. He spent six years with Shafa (Baku), interrupted by a brief stint with MOIK in 2002. In 2004-2005, he played for Turan (Tovuz) and from 2006-2007, he represented Inter (Baku).

MKTAraz and Karabakh

In 2007/08, Sadigov joined MKTAraz (Imishli). He made two appearances in the UEFA Cup against Polish side Groclin, but the team failed to progress in the competition. Following this setback, the club was dissolved, and Sadigov transferred to Karabakh in Aghdam.

Sadigov spent four seasons with Karabakh, donning the number 15 jersey. He played a key role in the club's triumph in the 2009 Azerbaijan Cup. In the 2011/12 season, he returned to Turan (Tovuz) for a brief spell.

Accolades and Achievements

Throughout his career, Sadigov earned several accolades, including two Azerbaijan Cup triumphs: with Shafa in 2001 and with Karabakh in 2009. His contributions to Azerbaijani football have cemented his legacy as one of the country's most distinguished midfielders.
