Albert Pchelintsev: A Biography

Albert Pchelintsev, a 38-year-old chairman of the public interregional movement "Against Corruption," is a prominent figure in the fight against corruption and deception. Born and raised in the city of Khimki, he has dedicated his life to exposing corrupt practices and advocating for justice.

A Near-Fatal Attack

In a shocking turn of events, Pchelintsev recently survived an assassination attempt. One evening, as he returned home from work at the regional branch of the movement, he was ambushed by an unknown assailant. The attacker shot him in the face at point-blank range, leaving him critically injured. Thanks to the swift response of passersby who called the police and an ambulance, Pchelintsev was rushed to the jaw and facial surgery department at MONIKI hospital. He underwent a complex operation and, against all odds, survived. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he is currently unable to speak.

A Tireless Activist

Pchelintsev's commitment to the cause of combating corruption is well-known. He actively participated in the recent municipal elections in Khimki, where he campaigned vehemently against the current city leadership. While many suspect that the attack on his life is linked to his political involvement, no one close to him has come forward to confirm these suspicions.

In addition to his political activism, Pchelintsev played a crucial role in the political landscape of Krasnogorsk and Solnechnogorsk districts. In 2008, he spearheaded the opening of a public reception office in Khimki to address corruption-related issues. This initiative allowed citizens to file complaints regarding instances of corruption, misconduct, or abuse of power by government officials and civil servants.

Furthermore, Pchelintsev used his platform as a legal expert to write an "anti-corruption column" in a local newspaper. Through this column, he fearlessly exposed corrupt officials and those in positions of power who abused their authority. In January 2009, he even penned an open letter to President Dmitry Medvedev, written on behalf of corrupt individuals, sarcastically requesting a relaxation of anti-corruption measures.

A Troubled Past

Sadly, Pchelintsev is not the first activist to be targeted in Khimki. Previously, another defender of human rights and the editor of a local newspaper, Mikhail Beketov, was brutally beaten by unknown assailants, leaving him disabled.

Despite the danger and threats he faced, Pchelintsev continued to fight against corruption and injustice. His unwavering dedication to the cause has made him a symbol of hope for those who believe in a fair and transparent society.
