Alejandra Benites is a Venezuelan athlete and politician who gained recognition for her achievements in fencing. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela and graduated from the Central University of Venezuela in 2006, where she obtained a degree in dentistry.

Benites excelled in the sport of fencing and represented Venezuela in numerous competitions, including the Olympic Games. In 1999, she won the junior championship in Dijon, France, and the following year, she earned a bronze medal in the same tournament. In 2005, Benites won the adult championship in Havana, Cuba, and in 2008, she won a bronze medal in Koblenz, Germany.
