Early Career and Moscow RootsAlexander Boykov began his ice hockey journey with the Moscow-based Krylya Sovetov club, honing his skills as a dynamic forward. He made his professional debut in 1991 with the same team, showcasing his exceptional talent.
Rising Star in Krylya Sovetov
In 1993, Boykov reached a significant milestone by claiming the bronze medal with Krylya Sovetov in the Russian Championship. He continued to excel with the club until 1999, leaving an indelible mark on the team's history.
Joining Rival Forces: CSKA and Lada
Boykov's career took a new turn when he transferred to CSKA, one of Krylya Sovetov's fiercest rivals. In 2001, he joined Lada Togliatti, where he experienced the most successful period of his career. He won a silver medal and two bronze medals with Lada, cementing his status as a formidable scorer.
Leadership Roles and Captaincy
Midway through the 2005/06 season, Boykov joined Khimik Mytishchi, where he eventually became the team's captain. He demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities and guided his teammates to victories.
