Dell'Acqua's passion for fashion began at an early age. He pursued his education at the Art Institute of Naples, graduating in 1981 with a degree in graphic design. He subsequently enrolled in the Accademia di Belli Arti, where he refined his skills.

Career Beginnings

Dell'Acqua's career in the fashion industry commenced in 1982 with positions at the Marzotti Group and a knitwear factory. In 1985, he landed a prestigious contract with Genny, collaborating with renowned designer Gianni Versace.

Rise to Prominence

Dell'Acqua's partnership with Genny propelled his career. He became the creative director of Pietro Pianforini, where he honed his expertise in jersey, cashmere, and wool. His designs soon garnered attention from brands such as Iceberg, Les Copains, and Mariella Burani.

Dell'Acqua made his breakthrough with his debut women's ready-to-wear collection in Milan in 1996. Two years later, he expanded with a men's line at Pitti in Florence. In 2000, he launched a hot-chic women's shoe line, collaborating with Ballin.
