Alex is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Cascavel.
Early Career
At a young age, Alex's talent was recognized by scouts from Bulgarian club Lokomotiv Plovdiv. He joined the club in 2006 and played there for two seasons.
European Adventure
On January 31, 2007, Alex was loaned to Italian club Fiorentina. The Serie A side were impressed with his performances and signed him permanently after the season. He remained with Fiorentina for two years before moving to Belgian team Eupen in June 2009.
