Biography of Alexander Aliyev

Alexander Aliyev is a professional Ukrainian football player who currently plays as an attacking midfielder for the club "Dynamo" Kiev and the Ukrainian national team. He first gained attention when he represented the Ukrainian under-21 national team in the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Although Ukraine reached the finals, they were defeated by the Netherlands with a score of 0-3.

Aliyev began his career in the reserve team of Dynamo Kiev in 2002. In the 2005-2006 season, he was loaned out to the club "Metalurh-Zaporizhya". However, it was in the spring of 2008 that he had a breakthrough, impressing the new head coach Yuriy Semin and earning a spot in the first team as an attacking midfielder.

Unfortunately, Aliyev's time with Dynamo Kiev was marred by disciplinary issues. In May 2008, during a match for the Ukrainian Cup between Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev, Aliyev started the game but was eventually substituted after underperforming. This turned out to be his last match for the first team that season. Semin decided to remove Aliyev from the main squad, citing a breach of discipline. Aliyev admitted to the violation in an interview, and Semin expressed that he had given Aliyev enough chances and that it was up to him to choose his path in either the top league or the second division.

Despite the setback, Aliyev was eventually brought back into the main squad during the pre-season training camp for the 2008-2009 season. He made his return in a friendly match between Dynamo Kiev and Arsenal Kiev on June 16, 2008. Aliyev solidified his position in the starting lineup as a playmaker and was entrusted with taking all set-pieces.

Aliyev's career has been marked by both successes and challenges. While he has shown great potential on the pitch, his disciplinary issues have hindered his progress. However, with the support of his coach and the club, Aliyev has been given another chance to prove himself and showcase his talent.
