Early Life and Football Career

Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the former Ukrainian footballer, a defender, returned to his parents' hometown of Khmelnytskyi, Ukrainian SSR, after a year. There, he began his football journey at the Youth Sports School No. 1 under the tutelage of coach Vladimir Sergeyevich Kozareno.

Military Service and Early Footballing Years

During his military service in Chernivtsi, he served in the reconnaissance and motorized rifle battalions. Upon completing his service, he played for Berezhany before joining "Temp" Shepetovka in 1991. He competed in the Ukrainian Championship until 1997 and then moved to the Russian club "Zenit" Saint Petersburg from 1998 to 1999.

Ukrainian Comeback and Career End

After his stint in Russia, he played for the physical culture team of the "Ukraine" mine in Ukrayinska, with whom he won the Ukrainian Cup among amateur teams. In the 2000/01 season, he appeared for Stal Alchevsk before retiring as a player in 2001 in the Russian first division.

Post-Retirement Career

Returning to Ukraine, he became a youth coach at Sports School No. 5 in Donetsk and played for the veterans of "Shakhtar".
