Alexander Belous: Ukrainian Bodybuilder
Alexander Belous is a Ukrainian bodybuilder, known for his impressive achievements in the sport. He has been crowned the European champion, world champion, and champion of the VIII World Games. Born in Germany to a military family, Belous had to frequently change his place of residence, from Germany to Zabaykalsky Krai. He moved to Ukraine in 1988.

Early Interest in Sports
Belous had always been interested in sports from a young age. Whether it was swimming, track and field, or judo, he always had a passion for physical activity. However, his involvement in sports during his youth can be considered more of a hobby rather than serious training.

The Beginnings of Bodybuilding
In 1994, Belous first entered a gym, although it can hardly be called an actual training session. It was more like hanging out with friends and exploring different exercises. He relied on magazines and more experienced athletes for information and guidance.
Early Competitions
Belous participated in his first bodybuilding competition in Zhytomyr in 1995, where he placed second in the under 70 kg category, the smallest category. The following year, in 1996, he competed in the Ukrainian Cup and secured the second place in the under 65 kg category, despite his weight being only 63 kg at the time. These early experiences laid the foundation for his future success.
International Recognition
In 1998, Belous participated in the World Championship held in Izmir, Turkey, after becoming the absolute champion of Ukraine. This trip had a profound impact on his athletic career, as he witnessed high-level athletes that inspired him to work even harder and strive for greatness. Although he did not reach the semifinals in the under 70 kg category, the experience fueled his determination to win a World Championship.
Champion of Europe and the World
With the guidance of his mentor I.A. Deliev and the influence of Konstantin Dovgan, Belous continued to excel in the sport. In 2002, he achieved his goal and became the champion of Europe and the world. However, after reaching this pinnacle, Belous took a break from competitive bodybuilding in 2004. Despite the break, he continued his training.
A New Challenge
It wasn't until Konstantin Dovgan offered Belous the opportunity to prepare for the 2008 World Championship in a higher weight category that his motivation was reignited. Belous accepted the challenge and began training for the tournament. He eventually placed third in the under 90 kg category, a result he was satisfied with considering the strong poisoning he experienced in Bahrain.
The VIII World Games
After the World Championship, Belous took the time to rest and recover before preparing for the VIII World Games in 2009. In the spring of that year, he got married and embarked on his training journey for the Games.
