Alexander Kislitcyn: A Versatile Kazakh Footballer

Early Life and Career

Alexander Kislitcyn, born and raised in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, began his football career at the age of 20. After honing his skills at the reserve team of Shakhtyor Karagandy from 2004 to 2006, he became a regular starter in the 2007 season, amassing 26 appearances.

International Recognition

Kislitcyn's impressive performances at club level caught the attention of the Kazakh national team, and he received his first call-up in 2008. He made his international debut against England and received praise from journalists for his solid display.

Transition to Defense

Originally a striker, Kislitcyn's career took an unexpected turn when Swiss coach Andre Gusset took over Shakhtyor and moved him to the defense. However, after joining Tobol in 2011, he regained his attacking role under coach Ravil Sabitov.

Tobol Career

With Tobol, Kislitcyn made an immediate impact. He scored in his Super Cup debut against Lokomotiv Astana and followed up with goals in the league opener against Ordabasy and the second round clash with Taraz. His crucial goal in the 120th minute of the Kazakhstan Cup sent Tobol into the quarterfinals.

International Appearances

Since his 2008 international debut, Kislitcyn has been a valuable member of the Kazakhstan national team. He has represented his country at various levels, including the youth team.
