Early Life and CareerBorn in Tbilisi, Georgia, Ilia Gnatenko began his football journey at the "Avaza" academy under the guidance of renowned coach Anzor Zukaqishvili. He later joined the youth ranks of Tbilisi's top club, Dinamo Tbilisi.
Club Career
Dynamo Tbilisi and DniproGnatenko made his senior debut for Dynamo Tbilisi in Georgia. In 2008, he moved to Ukrainian powerhouse Dnipro. He made his Ukrainian Premier League debut in the same year.
Loan to Volyn
In July 2014, Gnatenko joined Volyn on a loan deal. He returned to Dnipro in January 2016, as announced by the Ukrainian club's head coach, Myron Markevych.
Vorskla Poltava
After leaving Dnipro, Gnatenko joined Vorskla Poltava in the summer of 2016. He has been a key player for the Ukrainian club.
International Career
Youth and Senior TeamsGnatenko represented Georgia at the youth level, earning 5 caps for the U-21 team. He made his full international debut in 2012 and has since made 10 appearances, scoring 2 goals.
