Playing CareerBorn into a sporting family in Krasnoyarsk, Sasha Kishinevsky began his football journey at local clubs. From 1972 to 1983, he represented Avtomobilist, leaving an indelible mark with over 100 matches and 72 goals. His impressive dribbling skills and innovative feints earned the admiration of his teammates, including Russian coaching great Alexander Tarkhanov.
After a brief stint with Kuzbass in the Soviet First League, Kishinevsky joined Rostov SKA in 1987 before returning to Krasnoyarsk in 1989, where he retired from professional play with 61 appearances and 11 goals.
Coaching Journey
In 1991, Kishinevsky embarked on his coaching career with Metallist, the successor to Avtomobilist. He proposed the team's name change, leading them to two seasons in the Russian First Division before relegation to the Second Division in 1994. Metallist's triumph in the Eastern zone of the Second Division in 1995 marked their return to the First Division.
Following a stint with FC Gazovik-Gazprom Izhevsk, Kishinevsky worked with several Siberian clubs, including Viktoria Nazarovo, Reformacia Abakan, and Dynamo-Mashinostroitel Kirov. In 2004, he returned to his previous role as coach of Metallist. The team achieved promotion to the First Division in 2005 but faced relegation a year later.
Kishinevsky departed from his role as head coach and remained with Metallist as a consulting coach. He later briefly reprised his former position before leaving the club permanently in 2007.
Post-Metallist Career
From Yakutia to Novokuznetsk, Kishinevsky gained valuable experience in various coaching roles. In 2011, he guided the amateur club FC Restavratsiya before joining Rassvet Krasnoyarsk in 2016.
In 2020, he was appointed head coach of the youth team at FC Yenisey, a pinnacle of his coaching career.
Personal Life
Married to an Aeroflot flight attendant, Kishinevsky has a son, Evgeny, who played professional football in the Second Division and now serves as a soccer referee.
In his free time, Kishinevsky enjoys playing the piano, reading historical and football literature, and doting on his pet fox terrier, Giggs, named after the legendary Manchester United player.
