Alexander Kozhuhov

Alexander Kozhukhov was born in the bustling city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He attended School No. 107, where he completed his education under the guidance of class teacher Tamara Vladimirovna Kinyashakova.
Football Career
Kozhukhov's football career began in earnest when he joined Tashkent's legendary Pakhtakor club. He played for Pakhtakor in the 1st League of the USSR from 1987 to 1989 and later in the top flight of the Uzbekistani league in 1992.
His exceptional skills on the field earned him a place in the Uzbekistan SSR national team, where he played a pivotal role in winning the silver medal at the 1986 Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR. Kozhukhov capped his international career with an appearance for the Uzbekistan national team against Turkmenistan on June 28, 1992.
International Adventure
In 1995, Kozhukhov ventured abroad to pursue his football dreams in Malaysia. He joined Melaka United and subsequently played for Terengganu FA.
Tragic Death
On October 13, 1996, tragedy struck when Kozhukhov was found dead beneath the window of his 13th-story apartment in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. His widow, 41-year-old Bella, discovered bloodstains in their bedroom upon waking that fateful Sunday morning. She later stumbled upon his lifeless body on the balcony.
The circumstances surrounding Kozhukhov's death remain shrouded in mystery. It was suspected that he attempted suicide by cutting his wrists with a razor blade before falling from the window. He had a child from his first marriage, but he had no children with Bella.
Legacy
Alexander Kozhukhov's memory lives on as a testament to the raw talent and determination that defined his football career. His untimely demise cut short a promising life, but his impact on the sport in Uzbekistan and beyond will forever be remembered.
