Lieutenant Colonel Valentin Ivanov
Birth and Education:Valentin Ivanov was born on July 15, 1950, in Zhadeny, Belarus. He completed the Tashkent Higher Combined Arms Command School in 1972 and the Military-Political Academy in 1982.
Military Service:
Until 1992, Ivanov served in command and political positions in the Far Eastern and Belarusian military districts.
Political Career:
In 1992-1993, Ivanov was the head of the Social Protection Sector of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Adygea. From 1995 to 2001, he served as a deputy in the State Council of the Republic of Adygea. He also ran for office in 2001 but was not elected.
Party Affiliations:
Ivanov is a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), the Bureau of the Adygea Republican Organization of the CPRF, and the leader of the Adygea Regional Organization of the Russian People's Patriotic Union.
Other Activities:
Ivanov is a member of the Coordination Council of the Russian People's Patriotic Union. He has received five medals for his service.
