Background and Education
Alexei Orzhel, 35, served as the Head of the Energy Sector at the BRDO Think Tank. He holds a Master's degree in Energy Management from NTUU KPI's Institute of Energy Conservation and Energy Management.
Energy and Environmental Expertise
From 2006 to 2014, Orzhel worked in the National Regulator for Energy, focusing on renewable energy. He is the Chairman of the Ukrainian Association of Renewable Energy.
Political Career
Orzhel ran for parliament in the "Servant of the People" party but resigned after his appointment as Minister. He is said to have been appointed at the request of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
