Alican Aytekin
Early LifeAlician Aytekin was born in Gaziantep, Turkey, on October 20, 1990. At the age of four, he relocated with his family to Samsun. Despite his childhood interest in the arts through dance and theater, his family discouraged him from pursuing acting as a career.
Education and Career Path
After graduating high school, Aytekin enrolled at Izmir Economic University to study interior design. During this time, he attended the Mujdat Gezen Art Center to hone his acting skills. In 2011, he won the national talent competition "Artist Mektebi" and subsequently moved to Istanbul. He enrolled at Bilgi University to pursue a degree in television.
Acting Journey
Aytekin's acting career initially faced challenges. He endured financial struggles and countless casting rejections. However, his persistence paid off when he landed a minor role in the TV series "Our School" in 2013. Subsequently, he appeared in "Those in the Shadows" and "Cherry Season."
In 2016, Aytekin played the role of Omer in the film "All Because of Love." His breakthrough came in 2018 with the TV series "Little Crimes," an adaptation of HBO's "Big Little Lies."
"Knock on My Door" and Beyond
Aytekin's international fame surged in 2020 with his portrayal of Mr. Seyfi in the globally renowned TV series "Knock on My Door." Since then, he has starred in the project "Dreams and Lives" (2022).
Personal Life
Aytekin keeps his personal life private. Despite rumors linking him to his "Knock on My Door" co-star Elçin Afacan, he has not publicly commented on his romantic relationships.
