Alice Schmidt, an American athlete, was born on October 3, 1981 in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a professional American track and field athlete specializing in middle-distance running. Schmidt developed an interest in sports from a young age, and her parents supported and encouraged her athletic aspirations. She attended Elkhorn High School before enrolling at the University of North Carolina.

During her time at the university, Schmidt represented the school in various tournaments and championships, contributing to the university's strong position in the athletics rankings. In 2004, she earned a degree in journalism and political science.
