Early Career with Damavand and NECAlireza Jahanbakhsh, an Iranian winger, began his professional football career at the tender age of 17 with Damavand Gilani in the Iranian Pro League. As the youngest player in the starting lineup, he quickly made his mark on the field.
In 2013, Jahanbakhsh's talent caught the attention of Dutch Eredivisie club NEC. After passing a medical examination, he officially joined the club on July 1, 2013, making his debut against Valwijk. Soon after, he scored his first goal in the 2013/14 Dutch Cup.

Jahanbakhsh's skills blossomed at NEC. In the final game of the 2013/14 season, he scored two crucial goals against Ajax Amsterdam, helping NEC qualify for a relegation playoff instead of facing relegation. Debut with Iran National Team
Jahanbakhsh's international debut came on October 5, 2013, when he was brought on as a substitute in a 2015 Asian Cup qualifier against Thailand. Two weeks later, he scored his first goal for Iran in a 3-0 victory over Thailand. He was also called up to the 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
