Aliosha Gulamkhaidarov: A Distinguished Military Officer

Early Life

Aliosha Gulamkhaidarov was born on June 12, 1916, in the village of Miyanchar in the Shughnan region of Tajikistan. He was drafted into the Red Army in 1936 and served as a lieutenant in the 552nd Aerodrome Service Battalion.

World War II Service

With the outbreak of World War II, Gulamkhaidarov was deployed to the Western Front in June 1941. He fought in various sectors, including the Belyansky, Volkov, and Stalingrad Fronts. He distinguished himself in the Battle of Stalingrad, participating in fierce battles alongside the 13th Guards Rifle Corps.

In 1943, Gulamkhaidarov was assigned to the 2nd Guards Army on the Southern Front. He participated in the liberation of the Ukraine, capturing enemy equipment and taking prisoners. His bravery earned him the Order of the Red Banner.

Post-War Career

After the war, Gulamkhaidarov continued his military service in the Soviet Armed Forces. In 1963, he joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tajik SSR and served as the Head of the Passport Office of the OVD Railway District in Dushanbe. He retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Family

Gulamkhaidarov was married to Zinaida Filipovna Ivanova, a nurse. They had two sons, Vladimir and Alexander. His son Vladimir became a renowned Soviet footballer, while Alexander played for the Volgar Dushanbe football club.

Legacy

Aliosha Gulamkhaidarov died on December 20, 2001, at the age of 85. He is buried in the Orthodox cemetery in Dushanbe. He is remembered as a hero who fought valiantly for his country during World War II.
