Alison Brie was born on December 29, 1983, in Pasadena, California. She is an American actress who is best known for her roles as Trudy Campbell in the drama television series "Mad Men" created by Matthew Weiner and as Annie Edison in the comedy television series "Community" created by Dan Harmon.

Early Life and Education

Alison Brie is the daughter of a Jewish mother and began her acting career at the Jewish Community Center in Southern California. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor's degree in Theater. Before becoming a television actress, Brie not only performed in theater in California but also worked as a clown at birthday parties.

Television and Film Career

Brie's first television role was as Nina, a rookie hairdresser, in the series "Hannah Montana." After this minor role, she quickly rose to stardom in the web series "My Alibi." She then auditioned for and landed the role of Trudy Campbell in the series "Mad Men." Brie also stars in the series "Community." She continued to expand her portfolio by appearing in the comedy short film "Not Another High School Show" and accepting the role of Mary Elizabeth in the horror film "Born" by Richard Friedman, alongside Joan Severance. She also appeared in another comedy short film, "Salvation, Texas," directed by Mark Apicella. Brie portrayed the character of Darcy in William Malone's horror film "Parasomnia" and played Grace in Brian Jun's thriller "The Coverup."

One of Brie's recent projects includes the new drama "Montana Amazon" by D.G. Brock and the slasher film "Scream 4" by Wes Craven. As of September 2010, both films are in post-production. On April 15, 2010, Brie served as one of the hosts of the live television program "Attack of the Show" on the G4 channel. She also appeared in a brief segment of the TV show "Web Soup" on the same network. In 2010, Alison Brie ranked 99th on Maxim magazine's "Hot 100" list.
