Alistair Crooks
Alistair Crooks is the President of The NetBSD Foundation, a role he has held since 1999. His involvement with NetBSD began in 1993 as a user and occasional contributor, and he became a core developer in 1997.
NetBSD Contributions
Crooks is also the developer and founder of the pkgsrc package management system. He has ported pkgsrc to Sun Solaris and Mac OS X and contributed common boot code that allows pkgsrc to run on most POSIX-compliant operating systems.

- Earned a Ph.D. in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow- First exposure to Unix in 1978 on a PDP-11/45 running UNIX V6

- Previously a development engineer at Wasabi Systems- Involved in NetBSD development since 1993, previously involved with 386BSD
