Biography of Alodia Gosiengfiao
Alodia Almira Arraiza Gosiengfiao, born on March 9, 1988, is a Filipino model, cosplayer, singer, and actress. She is one of the three honorary ambassadors and VJs of the anime channel Animax-Asia. Additionally, she is the host of the prank show 'Laugh Out Loud' on ABS-CBN network. Alodia has appeared on television screens, magazine pages, and newspapers both locally and internationally.

Early Life and Education
Alodia's mother chose her name from a book of names, with Alodia meaning 'love' and Almira meaning 'princess'. She comes from a mixed ethnic background of Filipinos, Chinese, and Spaniards. Alodia has a younger sister named Ashley, who is also a cosplayer, singer, and model. She graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Information Design.

Cosplay and Career
Alodia was introduced to the world of cosplay through online forums and fan communities of anime and video games. At the age of 15, she participated in her first cosplay competition in Manila, portraying a priestess from the game 'Ragnarok Online'. Her popularity grew when she placed third at the C3 conference in 2003, where she cosplayed as Rikku from the role-playing game 'Final Fantasy X-2'. Since then, Alodia has cosplayed characters from over 40 movies, video games, and anime, including 'Witchblade', 'G.I. Joe', 'Paradise Kiss', 'Evangelion', and 'K-On!'.
Alodia's achievements in cosplay have earned her numerous awards and opportunities to judge other cosplayers since the age of 18. Her success in the cosplay community has made her a beloved figure in the media and has led to collaborations with various companies in the Philippines. Currently, she serves as an endorser for skincare products, healthy food and beverages, a Japanese sushi bar, collectible toys, a clothing line, and more. Alodia also represents the interests of the Philippine telecommunication company and Canon as a brand ambassador.
Other Interests
Apart from cosplay, Alodia has a passion for art, fashion, gadgets, video games, photography, and playing the piano. She was a member of the 'Official Guild of Muses' in the online multiplayer role-playing game 'Mu Online' and held an honorary moderator position in the game 'Khan Online'. As an avid gamer, she became the official model and endorser of the game 'Zhu Xian Online' (also known as 'Jade Dynasty') and held her first fan meet-up at the 'Domination 3 Event' in April 2009.
Television and Ambassadorship
Alodia gained further recognition when she became the first 'kawaii girl' in Levi Strauss & Co.'s competition on the entertainment program 'Mad Mad Fun' on the Animax channel in October 2007. In 2010, Alodia, her sister Ashley, and model Steph Henares were chosen as ambassadors and VJs of Animax. This trio, known as the 'Ani-Mates', became the first cosplayers to be selected as VJs by the Animax channel. Alodia was also a participant in the Tokyo TV show 'Culture: Japan', where she showcased her costumes, artwork, comics, and figure collections.
