Early Career and Success with Patrice Archetto
Anabelle Langlois began her skating career in pairs with Patrice Archetto. Together, they achieved significant success, placing in the top three at the Canadian Figure Skating Championships for five consecutive years. Notably, in 2002, they captured the silver medal at the Four Continents Championships and competed at the Winter Olympics, where they finished 12th.
Transition to Skating with Cody Hay
After the dissolution of her partnership with Archetto in 2005, Langlois teamed up with Cody Hay. In their first season together, they faced an unfortunate setback when Langlois' luggage containing her skates was lost by an airline, forcing them to withdraw from a Grand Prix event.
Canadian Championship Title and Olympic Appearance
Undeterred by the setback, Langlois and Hay went on to win the Canadian Figure Skating Championship title in 2008. However, the following season was marred by a serious injury that sidelined Langlois.
Return to Competition and Retirement
Upon their return to competition, Langlois and Hay earned the silver medal at the Canadian Championships and were selected for the Canadian Olympic team for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. At the Games, they finished in 9th place, followed by a 10th-place finish at the World Championships.
At the conclusion of the 2009-2010 season, Langlois decided to retire from competitive skating.
Post-Retirement Endeavors
In the fall of 2010, Langlois participated in the second season of the Canadian television show "Battle of the Blades," where she partnered with hockey player Georges Laraque.
