Biography of Analie Christian Tipton
Early Life and EducationAnalie Christian Tipton is an American figure skater, actress, and model. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved to Sacramento, California with her parents when she was 8 years old. Tipton has completed her schooling and attended the New York Film Academy's Film School. Currently, she is studying cinema at Marymount College in Palos Verdes, California.
Modeling Career
Before participating in the popular reality show "America's Next Top Model," Tipton had already tried her hand at modeling. She posed for photographers Shaun Pfeipher and Robert Dahey and also appeared in a parody advertising campaign for Grazia Magazine organized by Alejandra Garibay. Tipton signed a contract with Los Angeles-based agency "I Model & Talent" and walked the runway for Kelly Nishimoto during the Los Angeles Fashion Week in 2008.
Figure Skating Achievements
Tipton developed a passion for figure skating at the age of 2.5 years old. Throughout her childhood, she actively attended training sessions and even participated in the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships four times. Later, Tipton became a two-time regional champion in pairs figure skating with Phillip Cooke. She also competed in the U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships twice. At the age of 16, Tipton decided to leave professional figure skating. However, she occasionally returned to the ice for charity ice shows supporting various AIDS foundations.
"America's Next Top Model" and Acting Career
Tipton joined the 11th cycle of "America's Next Top Model" after being discovered through the popular social networking site MySpace. In one of the episodes, she landed in the bottom two contestants, and the judges criticized her for not utilizing her figure skating skills. Tipton took their feedback to heart and began infusing more passion into her performances. As a result, she consistently ranked among the top three contestants for seven consecutive weeks. However, Tipton forgot her lines during a commercial shoot in the finale and was eliminated, leaving Samantha Potter and McKey Sullivan to compete for the first place.
After the show, Tipton signed contracts with Los Angeles branches of "Ford Models" and "Abrams Artists" agencies. She regularly appears in advertising campaigns and has been featured in several fashion magazines, including Spanish Marie Clare, the December 2008-January 2009 issue of Seventeen, and Maxim. Tipton has also modeled for fashion catalogs such as Forever 21, Guess, and Three Dots. Additionally, she participated in the "CampusGirls USA 'Girls of Pac 10 Conference'" calendar, with proceeds going towards breast cancer research.
Tipton made a guest appearance in an episode of the popular American sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" alongside her fellow "America's Next Top Model" contestant. In 2011, she made her big-screen debut in the action-comedy film "The Green Hornet" alongside Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz. It is known that Tipton will soon be seen as a nanny in the film "Crazy, Stupid, Love" with Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, Emma Stone, and Ryan Gosling.
