Biography of Anastasia Makarova

Anastasia Makarova was born on December 19, 1982 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, on the island of Sakhalin. Her mother worked as an economist but had a creative soul and was a true actress at heart. It seems that Anastasia inherited her genes. After finishing school in 2000, she moved to Moscow and enrolled in the theater directing faculty at the University of Culture and Arts. However, after three years, Anastasia realized that she was not yet ready for such a serious profession and decided to switch to acting. In 2003, she was admitted to the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio, studying under Roman Kozak and Dmitry Brusnikin.

Rise to Fame

Anastasia Makarova started her career in the film industry with small roles. She played Lira in the melodrama "Happiness by Prescription," Olga Karaseva in the 10th episode of the series "Law and Order: Department of Operative Investigations -1," Tanya in the 38th episode of "Glukhar," and Varya Voronina in one of the episodes of the series "March of Turetsky." Her first major work as an actress was the role of Vera Tsareva in the 8-episode film "Big Oil" directed by Dmitry Cherkasov. The film depicted young conquerors of Siberia in the 1960s, and although it had some flaws and inaccuracies, it was mostly well-received by the audience.

However, Anastasia Makarova gained true popularity through her leading role in the series "Ephrosinia." She portrayed a 20-year-old girl who grew up in the taiga - emotional, strong, energetic, with a lively and almost boyish character, yet beautiful and feminine. Ephrosinia was independent and stubborn, always doing things her own way. During the creation of the character, Anastasia often engaged in debates with the director when she felt that her portrayal was not convincing enough, and her opinions were taken into account.
