Biography of Eduardo Palomo

Eduardo Palomo was a Mexican actor who gained popularity in Mexico and Latin America after his role as Juan del Diablo in the historical telenovela "Corazón salvaje" in 1993. Born on May 13, 1962, in Mexico City, Palomo grew up with his younger brother Jesus Jr. and sister Susana, as the son of Jesus Estrada and Miliza Palomo.

Early Career and Education

Palomo got his first professional role in theater at the age of twelve. In 1982, at the age of twenty, he made his television debut in the series "Por amor," "Lo que el amor no perdona," and "No empujen." While continuing to act in theater and television, Palomo also studied graphic design at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He also pursued singing, dancing, and physical fitness.

Success and Fame

By the time Palomo played the role of Juan del Diablo, a tough smuggler, the illegitimate son of a wealthy aristocrat, and a tender lover in "Corazón salvaje," he had already appeared in 32 telenovelas. For the role, Palomo had to grow his hair long and dye it black, a look that delighted his fans. He went on to star in several successful Mexican soap operas and films and released his only album, "Mover El Tiempo," in 1993.

Personal Life and Tragic Death

On November 26, 1994, Palomo married singer and actress Carina Ricco. They had a daughter, Fiona Alexa, born on October 12, 1998, and a son, Luca, born on October 15, 2000. A few years before his tragic death, Palomo moved to the United States in hopes of pursuing a career in Hollywood. He appeared in shows like "Kingpin" and "Arrested Development."

Eduardo Palomo passed away on November 6, 2003, from a heart attack during lunch with his wife and friends at a restaurant in Los Angeles, California. At the time of his death, he was working on the staging of his play "Una Pareja Con Angel" in Los Angeles, which had been successful in Mexico. His last work was the satirical comedy "A Day Without a Mexican."
