Anatoliy Anisimov was a prominent Ukrainian cyberneticist who made significant contributions to the field. As a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences and professor, he played a pivotal role as the Dean of the Cybernetics Faculty at the Kyiv National University named after T. Shevchenko. Additionally, he was a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine.
Author and Educator
Anisimov authored the book "Computer Linguistics for All: Myths. Algorithms. Language," which disseminated knowledge on computer linguistics to a wider audience. His scholarship also extended to penning the preface for the third edition of the first volume of Donald Knuth's renowned multi-volume work, "The Art of Programming."
International Collaborations
Anisimov's pursuit of knowledge extended beyond his home country. During a research fellowship at Stanford University from 1976 to 1977, he had the privilege of attending "The Art of Programming" course taught by Professor Donald Knuth himself.
