Major General Viktor Dublyk: A Dedicated Ukrainian Patriot
Early CareerViktor Dublyk, a seasoned Ukrainian military officer and генерал-майор (Major General), rose through the ranks of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU). Prior to 2014, he served in the Ternopil Regional Department of the SBU.
Rise to Prominence
In 2014, Ukraine faced tumultuous political and military upheaval. On March 15, 2014, Oleksandr Turchynov, then acting President of Ukraine and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, appointed Colonel Dublyk as Head of the Department for the Protection of Statehood within the SBU.
Dublyk quickly established a formidable team of professionals to lead the department. Among them were:
