Anatoliy Vorona: Ukrainian Football Midfielder
Anatoliy Vorona is a Ukrainian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Arsenal Kyiv.
Early Career
Born in Kovel, Ukraine, Vorona began playing football at a young age under the guidance of coach Nikolai Viktorovich Les. At the age of 17, he had trials with Metalurh Zaporizhzhia but was not offered a contract.
Club Career
In 1998, Vorona joined Volyn Lutsk. The following year, he moved to Chornomorets Odessa where he made his debut for the second team in the Ukrainian First League. He also played one match for the senior team in the Ukrainian Premier League.
After his brief stint with Chornomorets, Vorona returned to Volyn. He also played for Sokil Zolochiv in the amateur championship and the Ukrainian Second League.
Vorona had spells with Sumy teams Frunzenez-Liga-99 and Spartak before joining Obolon Kyiv in 2005. He played in the Ukrainian First League for Obolon until 2007.
In August 2007, Vorona signed a contract with Zimbru Chişinău in Moldova. He made 14 appearances for the club before leaving in March 2008.
He then played one match for Krymteplytsia Molodizhne in the Ukrainian First League before joining Nyva Ternopil in the Ukrainian Second League for the 2008/09 season.
Later Career
Vorona had a trial with Andijan in Uzbekistan in 2009 before joining Arsenal Bila Tserkva. He helped Arsenal win promotion to the Ukrainian First League in 2009.
