Early Career

Anders Fannemel began his ski jumping career in the FIS Cup, making his debut in Falun on September 8, 2007. He subsequently competed in the Continental Cup, first in the summer event in Lillehammer (September 13, 2008) and then in the winter competition (December 9, 2008).

World Cup Debut and First Podium

Fannemel's World Cup debut came on December 5, 2009, in Lillehammer. He earned his first World Cup podium with a team victory on February 11, 2012, also in Lillehammer.

Individual World Cup Success

In individual World Cup competitions, Fannemel achieved his best result on November 25, 2012, with a second-place finish in Lillehammer.

World Record Jump

On February 15, 2015, Fannemel soared to a distance of 251.5 meters on the Vikersundbakken hill in Vikersund, setting a new world record. This record stood until March 18, 2017.

World Championship Victory

Fannemel reached the pinnacle of his career in 2015 when he won the individual gold medal at the World Championships in Falun.
