Andreea Georgiana Balan, a Romanian pop singer, gained fame as a member of the duo Andre. She was born on June 23, 1984, to Sandel Balan, who composed several songs for the group Andre, and Valeria Balan.

Early Career and Success

In the spring of 1999, Andreea Balan, along with Andreea Antonescu, recorded the duo's debut solo album, "La Întâlnire". In August of the same year, they won an award at the "Free Sea" festival in Miami. Soon after, their second album, "Noapte de vis", was released, and in November, the music video for their most famous single from the album was released.

In 2000, their third album, "Prima iubire" ("First Love"), was released under different titles, including "Lasa-ma papa la mare". In November of the same year, they recorded another album, "Am sa-mi fac de cap", which featured the popular songs "Flori de tei" ("Linden Flowers") and "Suna-ma" ("Call Me"). In 2001, the duo received the Bravo Otto award for Best Teenage Group.

Subsequent Developments

After releasing another album in 2001, "O noapte si-o zi" ("One Night and One Day"), the group disbanded. However, during their time together, they had already released four platinum albums and one gold album, selling 1,500,000 copies and earning the title of "Princesses of Dance Music" in Romania.

In 2004, Andreea Balan moved from her hometown of Ploiesti to Bucharest, where she met Theo Pakurar. They dated for about two years and then got engaged. However, the couple broke up in 2006 as Theo wanted to move Andreea to Bistrita, where his parents lived. Shortly after the breakup, Andreea appeared at a fashionable party with Keo, who helped her through the breakup with Theo, and they eventually became lovers. Despite rumors of their separation, Andreea's relationship with Keo continued.

As of June 22, 2008, Andreea has not been included in the Top 100 rankings. Starting from January 2009, only the top 10 rankings have been published, and Andreea has not yet made it into the Top 10.
