Vitaliy Bashlay: A Renowned Ukrainian Defender
Vitaliy Bashlay is a Ukrainian football player who has made significant contributions as a defender. He is the older brother of fellow footballer Dmytro Bashlay and was trained at the esteemed Kyiv Dynamo football academy.
Professional Career
Bashlay commenced his professional career with Dynamo's reserve teams, Dynamo-3 and Dynamo-2. In 2006, he was loaned to Arsenal Kyiv for the winter period, making his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League in March of that year.
Subsequent loan spells followed at Obolon Kyiv and Lviv-based Karpaty Lviv. In 2007, Bashlay transferred to Stal Alchevsk, playing for half a season before joining Prykarpattya Ivano-Frankivsk. He later played for Knyazha and, in the 2008/09 winter transfer window, joined FC Sevastopol.
International Career
Bashlay represented Ukraine's under-17 and under-21 national teams. He was also part of the Ukrainian student national team, winning two Summer Universiades in 2007 and 2009.

Throughout his career, Bashlay has achieved the following:- Bronze medalist in the Ukrainian First League: 2002/03, 2006/07
