Biography of Andrey Bisitov

Andrey Stepanovich Bisitov was born on September 20, 1962, in Zaporizhia, Ukraine, to a family of educators. His father, born in 1918 and passed away in 1989, was a teacher of Ukrainian literature, while his mother, born in 1923, was a history teacher.

Early Life and Education

Andrey enrolled in a music school in 1968, even before starting primary school. He joined the preparatory piano class and eventually graduated as an accordionist in 1977. Later on, he taught himself to play the guitar and started writing songs in 1980.

From 1969 to 1979, Andrey attended Secondary School No. 76 in Zaporizhia. Although he wasn't the most exemplary student, he had a passion for literature, physical education, drawing, biology, and crafts.

In 1979, Andrey entered the Philological Faculty of Zaporizhia State Pedagogical Institute, where he focused on Russian language and literature. He successfully obtained his diploma and decided to pursue a career in teaching.

Professional Life

After completing his military service in 1984, Andrey embarked on an active period of his life, working in various journalism positions and pursuing his passion for music. During this time, he wrote and published numerous poems, articles, and interviews.

From 1986 to 1993, Andrey worked in local newspaper editorial offices, further establishing himself as a writer and songwriter. He wrote over a hundred songs during this period, showcasing his talent and creativity.

In the late 1990s, Andrey went through a period of personal transformation, focusing on sobriety and self-improvement. In 2000, he published a collection of poems and songs titled "Tribute to That Time." He also started rehearsing in the "List" studio with the accompanying band "Sidor Band" and recorded his album "World in Your Pocket" there. Several music videos were filmed for songs from the album, including "World in Your Pocket" and "Mother's Birthday."

Andrey then began performing concerts and making appearances on television and radio broadcasts, sharing his music with a wider audience.
