Andriy Boyko is a Ukrainian football player, primarily known for his role as a defender. He began his professional career with the club "Ros" in Bila Tserkva. Boyko made his debut in the second league on June 23, 1998, in a match against "Kristall" from Kherson, which his team won 4-0.
From 2003 to 2005, Boyko played for the Mariupol-based club "Illichivets", where he made his debut in the top league on March 9, 2003, in a match against "Kryvbas", which ended in a 2-0 victory for his team. On July 15, 2004, Boyko also made his debut in the first qualification round of the UEFA Cup, playing against "Banants" from Yerevan, and his team won 2-0.
Between 2006 and 2007, Boyko played for several clubs including "Kryvbas", "Stal" from Alchevsk, and "Zakarpattia". In the summer of 2007, he transferred to Simferopol-based club "Tavriya". However, in the summer of 2008, Boyko encountered serious health issues, specifically a spinal hernia, which prevented him from regaining his previous physical condition and hindered his inclusion in the main squad. In January 2009, Boyko left "Tavriya" by mutual agreement and became a free agent.
On January 29, 2009, Boyko joined the Poltava-based club "Vorskla". According to media reports, he was invited to training camp with "Torpedo" Moscow on July 21, 2011. Boyko was also called up to the Ukrainian U-21 national team in August 2003 but did not play in any matches for the team.
