Early Life and Career

Dmytro Dankiv was born in Lviv, Ukraine, where he began his football journey at the Karpaty Lviv youth academy. He was coached by Vladimir Danyliuk and played for UFK Lviv and Karpaty Lviv in the DYuFL youth league. Additionally, Dankiv represented the Lviv State Agrarian University, leading them to victory at the 2005 All-Ukrainian Summer Rural Sports Games.

Debut and Second League Experience

On August 6, 2005, Dankiv made his professional debut for Karpaty-2 in the Second League against Nyva Ternopil, a match that ended in a goalless draw. Over the following seasons, he made 49 appearances for Karpaty-2, scoring four goals.

Transfer to FC Lviv and Premier League Debut

In the summer of 2007, Dankiv joined FC Lviv and played a key role in their promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League, securing second place in the First League behind only Illichivets. On July 20, 2008, he made his Premier League debut in a match against Shakhtar Donetsk, providing an assist before being substituted late in the game.

Loan to Enerhetyk Burshtyn and Return to FC Lviv

During the 2009 summer transfer window, Dankiv was loaned to Enerhetyk Burshtyn, a Ukrainian First League side. In a match against Dynamo-2 Kyiv, he scored a brace against goalkeeper Artur Rudko. In January 2010, he returned to FC Lviv and continued his career in the Ukrainian Premier League.
