Biography of Andriy Dykan
Andriy Dykan, a Ukrainian football player, is a member of the Ukrainian national team. He has been playing in Russia for "Terek" since 2009. In addition to his Ukrainian citizenship, he also holds Russian citizenship.
Early Career
Dykan started his career playing for the Institute of Physical Education in Kharkiv. In the middle of the 1995/96 season, he transferred to Avangard-Industriya in Rovenky, where he played until 1998. In 1999, he moved to Khabarovsk, where he played several seasons for the local club SKA-Energiya.
Move to Tavriya
In January 2008, Andriy Dykan joined Simferopol's "Tavriya." He played 24 matches in the Ukrainian Championship, conceding 36 goals in the 2008 season. In addition, Dykan participated in one game for Tavriya in the Ukrainian Cup. He played the entire match without conceding a single goal.
Transfer to Terek
Dykan's one-year contract with Simferopol club expired in December 2008. After some consideration, the goalkeeper decided not to extend his contract with the Crimean team and signed with the Russian Premier League club, "Terek." Due to the limit on foreign players in the Russian Premier League, Dykan was forced to obtain Russian citizenship.
Goal-Scoring Goalkeeper
Despite being a goalkeeper, Andriy Dykan is known for his goal-scoring abilities. However, most of his goals were scored while playing as an outfield player, rather than as a goalkeeper.
